 for my first big blog my genre of music that i will be talking about is Hip Hop. Hip Hop was created back in the 1970s born in new York by Bronx. it was organically influenced by African american dancing and was becoming very popular all over the world. hip hops definition from the US is that its "a style of popular music of US black and Hispanic origin, featuring rap with an electronic backing". Nowadays hip-hop has another name called rap and now hip hop has a lot more aggressive words being said like violence,sex,drugs, and profanity .but this is the point of hip hop, it is supposed to make you feel cool and self confident with the energy and adrenaline rush. the style rap is used in is very unique i think its just a young adults type of music, im sure everyone likes hip hop because its just naturally in our blood. now what many rappers say is that hip-hop is black culture because they do it the best and that it is black music, this was said by Dr dre in an interview wher...

 1. yes i know the song is called Africa but this is actually a great video that talks about the continent of Africa rather than the personal romance. he said that Africa is a beautiful place but also very dangerous which he based off in the lyrics saying he can just imagine how it would be. But What actually caught my eye where the instruments used in this video to make the song. during the beginning of the music us can hear jungle like music that come from a electronic keyboard. the instruments that caught my eye where  congas, marimbas, and an iconic harmony creating a unique texture within a conventional pop song structure.
