  The oud player is the humble Palestinian musician Simon Shaheen, born in the village of Tarshiha in Palestine . He has many albums and thousands of soundtracks for international films such as "Sheltering Sky" and "Malcolm X" and a music for many documentaries, Arabic music with jazz, Western classical music and Latin American music. Musician Simon Shaheen, in addition to the oud, is violinists with the same professionalism and beauty. His first artistic appearance was at the age of four. Shaheen was considered as a unique musical school, so it is no surprise that Former US president Bill Clinton honored Simon Shaheen at the White House. i choose this video becasue i was viery intrested in the oud and wanted to know more about it and who was one of the best oud players there was at the time. this is a great example of how you play it and a true expression of Mideastern culture. Hi my name is Luis and today i will be talking about what my dads taste in music is and how he feels about it. growing up everyone likes a certain type of song, music or genre. when i asked dad about what are his types of music he tells me he likes romantic Hispanic music. as a child he said listened a lot to what his dad would play, i asked for a specific artist and he told me Vicente Fernandez which is a very famous artist known in mexico.  Ex:  this song name is "Ace Entre No" i asked him why this song and he answered because his dad always said a specific verse from this song. RIP grandpa <3.
